This is what covers are all about, I find myself l listening to this all the time. Local H does a great job of taking a Britney Spears song and performs it in a way that someone who wouldn’t be caught dead listening to her music can listen to in public.
I like Phil Collins, well not that much, but this cover kind of surprised me. The biggest thing that surprised me is it that he managed to sound even more poppy than Cyndi Lauper. It’s not a terrible cover, but it’s not good either.
The Cover
This is one of the coolest cover songs ever done, by Disturbed or anyone else. Originally done by Genesis it was a really cool original song to begin with, but then Disturbed added their own touch to it, making it that much better.
The Cover
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts did a few really iconic cover songs, like this cover of the Arrows, and Crimson and Clover. Unlike that cover though, Joan Jett changes the gender specific lyrics in this one.
The Cover
Kenny Wayne Shepherd is a pretty amazing guitar player, and to do a cover of his music is a pretty big undertaking. Five Finger Death Punch is obviously up to the task, but It would have been nice to put a bit more of a metal twist on it than they did, but it was better than just doing it exactly the same.
